Blogs Overall

Prior to this class I had never blogged. I now find that these can be extremely helpful in connecting with other Speech-Language Pathologists. Blogging can help in sharing ideas, resources, therapy techniques, etc. I will continue to use this blog until I finish graduate school and into my professional career.

As stated above, blogging can be a great tool for sharing resources. Therefore, I have included various websites that I use and hopefully they will help you as well.

IEPs and their GOALS!

I have learned quite a lot about IEP's and planning the goals that go with them. I didn't realize until recently that different states have different requirements about their IEP's. I found a website that provides the links to all states and provide information about their IEP requirements.

I have also come across a website that provides information on setting IEP goals. The site gives tips on planning IEP's for beginners, such as myself.

My First Blog

My name is Amy. I graduated in May 2006 from Clarion University with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. I returned to Clarion in Fall 2006 to start on my Graduate Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. I plan on graduating in May 2008 and working in the Harrisburg area.

I have never blogged before and look forward to using it professionally in my upcoming career.
